International Soccer Academy

In 2010, before the World Cup, we were invited in South Africa to bring an Under17 team to play in a tournament. We finished unbeaten and won that tournament. Since then, we receive many invitations from around the world. So the "Children in Sport" program recently started an International Soccer Academy to form talented players living in our cities.

Hundreds of players come from other cities and clubs, or walk from their neighborhoods in order to train and get selected to play in the touring teams. Paulo Cesar, the technical director of our Academy, and other famous persons in professional football give their help, so that future trials such as our first big event we held in June 2011 become a success (see pictures below: 200 hundred kids attended the event). This selection teams is the one we will send abroad to play in tournaments or competitions. In August 2011, 30 boys (15 Under14 e 15 Under16) will travel to play in a football tournament in Ukraine: this is the chance for them to be contracted as professionals players outside Brazil.
